"From Pain to Perspective" is a true story based off of Lauren's life, and is intended to bring light to horrible situations that people don't talk about. Pain can be so isolating, and the barriers it creates among people make it worse. She wants to help those who are going through, or may go through, similar things.

This book is intended to educate on what abusive relationships and suicide loss are like for those going through it. Evidence indicates that people are more likely than not to go through an abusive relationship or have a loved one be in one, and suicide loss is not uncommon either. She hopes that her book helps people learn how they can best support their loved ones and the people that they care about. Above all, her goal is to encourage a shift in your perspective regarding how you perceive your life and the challenges that come with it. 

At the end of the day, this is a story of the hell that we humans can go through. The saving grace is that so much beauty can come from so much ugly, we just have to be willing to look for it. We have to be willing to lean on others, and to give others the same in return.
